Learn how to send SMS/TXT messages to bulk groups and delete scheduled messages.

Note: To use the SMS/TXT function in Vault, make sure the SMS/TXT Module Access option is selected in your user management settings.
Send a bulk SMS
MRI Vault allows you to send SMS/TXT messages to individual contacts or bulk groups using the SMS/TXT Communicator. This feature is ideal for marketing campaigns, updates, or quick contact.
- Go to: eMarketing > SMS/TXT Communicator

For multi-office clients:

Select the Office dropdown to:
- Select an office or
- Select All

Select the Office dropdown to:
- Choose your contact categories or a Contact Distribution List to target
- Customise your message by applying filters and selecting message details
- Filter(s) - Narrow recipients by selecting the marketing contact
- Precinct - Target contacts within a specific precinct

From - Choose the sender
- Australia - Replies go to the sender’s contact number
- New Zealand - Replies appear in the SMS/TXT Replies widget
- Timing - Send immediately or schedule for later/ (If this is empty, the message will send immediately)
- Template - Use a pre-made SMS template
- Message - Write your own or edit a selected template. Templates help ensure merge fields work correctly
- Unsubscribe from SMS link - Include an opt-out link. If omitted, a warning will appear before sending
Note: SMS charges apply per message part. Each part is 153 characters if the message exceeds 160 characters.
- Select the Fee checkbox to agree to the charge
- Click Next once your message is ready
- Review the summary confirmation
- Click Next again to send
You will be redirected to the summary page where you can view or cancel scheduled messages before they’re sent.
Note: Bulk SMS messages can also be viewed in the contact’s Notes tab. If the message was sent via the Vault SMS server, the content will also be available under Reports > SMS Text Usage.
Manage scheduled SMS/TXT messages
Note: Only users with Admin access (with Settings enabled in User Management) can remove scheduled SMS/TXT messages on behalf of another agent.
To see and remove scheduled messages:
- Go to: eMarketing > SMS/TXT Communicator
- Select the View Pending tab to see scheduled messages
You will see:
- Sent Time - The scheduled time for sending the message
- Message - The content of the message
- Who - The recipient, whether it is an individual or a mass message
- Click Remove to cancel the message if needed
- Click OK in the confirmation pop-up
Note: Messages cannot be retrieved once they are deleted. If a message is needed again, it must be recreated manually.
