About attach files
The attach files feature lets you store documents for a property, regardless of its lifecycle. Uploaded files can be shared with relevant portals or websites, ensuring easy access for your team.
Upload files to a property
To add files to a property record:
- Go to: The property profile
- Click the Filing Cabinet dropdown
- Click Attach Files
- Upload your file by:
- Dragging and dropping the document into the upload area, or
- Clicking the cloud icon to select a file from your computer
Edit file details and permissions
Once your file is uploaded, you can update its details and control access:
- Click the spanner icon in the bottom-right corner of the file
- Update the file name as needed
- Set access permissions:
- Share with a specific team
- Share with selected staff members
- Share with everyone in the office
Note: Proper permissions ensure sensitive documents are only visible to authorised users.
Download or share files
You can easily access or distribute uploaded files:
- Click the document to download it
- Use the email option to send the file directly to recipients
Tips:
- Regularly review attached files to keep property records up to date
- Use descriptive file names for easier searching and identification
