About the Canva integration

The Canva integration in MRI Vault allows users to create property marketing designs directly within Vault using Canva brand templates.

It enables property data (such as address, price, and images) to automatically populate template fields. This helps reduce manual work while ensuring designs remain consistent with your brand.

Before you start

Ensure the following requirements are met before setting up the integration:

  • You have a Canva Enterprise account to access brand templates
  • Your Canva templates include data autofill fields for property details (e.g. address, heading, main photo)

Connect Canva to MRI Vault

Connect Canva so you can use your Canva templates in Vault.

  • Go to: My integrations > Canva
  • Click Connect

You will be redirected to the Canva authorisation method page.

  • Click Allow to authorise access

Once connected, MRI Vault can access your Canva brand templates and assets.

Prepare brand templates in Canva

Set up your Canva templates so MRI Vault can autofill property data.

  • Log in to Canva Enterprise
  • Go to Brand > Templates
  • Select a template (e.g. Facebook post)
  • Click Use this brand template

Add autofill fields

  • Select an element (e.g. heading)
  • Click Apps
  • Search and select Data Autofill
  • Select Custom
  • Tick I’ve connected Canva to my data source
  • Click Continue

Add available data fields in Vault:

Link text fields

  • Enter placeholder text
  • Right-click the text box
  • Select Data field
  • The data field will be linked to the design or text

Link address field

  • Click Add field
  • Enter propertyaddress as the field name

Link image fields

  • Select the image placeholder
  • Assign the field name mainphoto

Finalise the template

  • Click Continue
  • Select Publish as Brand template
  • Click Publish and close
The template will be published in Canva and can be used in Vault once your Canva integration is set up.

Use the Canva design in Vault

Create a design using a Canva template from a property profile.

  • Open a property profile
  • Go to Other tab > Canva

Select which property photos may be used by Canva:

  • Select a photo and click Send to Canva
  • Click Create new design
  • Select the Canva template
  • Click Next
  • Review or update autofill fields as needed
  • Click Next to generate the design

The design will be created within a minute. Refresh the page if needed.

  • Click View design to open the design in Canva
  • Click Edit design to make further changes in Canva
Note: If some fields do not map automatically, you can edit them directly in Canva after the design is created.
