Use Agora login for current MRI Vault users

Learn how current MRI Vault users are prompted to link their existing Vault login to Agora (Okta) when enforced login is enabled.

About Agora-enforced login for current MRI Vault users

When Agora-enforced login is enabled, MRI Vault will gradually move existing users from “traditional Vault login” to signing in via Agora Gateway/Okta (Central Identity). This means that after you sign in, MRI Vault will prompt you to link your MRI Vault user profile to your Agora identity so future sign-ins go through Okta.

In practice, current users typically experience one of two flows:

  • You already have an Agora/Okta account - (For example, you use another MRI product that already authenticates through Agora/Okta). In this case, linking is usually immediate, and you can continue without waiting for an activation email
  • You don’t have an Agora/Okta account yet. In this case, the system creates one and sends an activation email before you can complete setup and sign in
Note: Okta Verify supports push notifications as an MFA method, where you approve the sign‑in on your phone.

Before you start

This section helps you avoid the most common blockers before you begin the enforced login flow.

  • Confirm you know the email address you use to sign into MRI Vault
  • If your account uses offices/branches, be ready to select the correct office during sign-in
  • Ensure your user profile includes a mobile number (if your organisation requires it for MFA or account recovery)
  • If you already use Okta for other MRI products, ensure you can access your Okta Verify app on your phone (if enrolled)
Tip: If your organisation has enabled Okta Verify push, the sign‑in prompt is sent to your device, and you approve it from the Okta Verify app.

Link your existing Vault login to Agora

Use this flow if you already use another MRI product that signs in through Agora/Okta (for example, you’ve used an Okta Verify push prompt before).

This process starts from the MRI Vault login screen.

  1. On the Vault login page, select MRI Agora Gateway
  2. If prompted, select your office/branch from the drop-down list
  3. Review your name and mobile details (these usually come from MRI Vault user management)
  4. Enter the email address associated with your existing Agora/Okta identity
  5. Select Continue to Next Step

MRI Vault will check in the background whether your Agora/Okta identity already exists. If it finds a match, it links your MRI Vault user and displays a success message (often followed by a short countdown).

  1. Select Continue to Login (or wait for the countdown to redirect you back to sign-in)

Sign in to MRI Vault using Agora (Okta)

After linking, you’ll sign in through Okta.

  1. From the MRI Vault login screen, select MRI Agora Gateway again
  2. Enter your email address

  3. Select Sign in
  4. On the Okta sign-in screen, enter your email address and password, then select Sign in

  5. (Optional) Enable Send push automatically
  6. (Optional) Enable Do not challenge me on this device for the next 12 hours
Tip: These options help make signing in repeatedly easier.
  1. When prompted, approve the sign‑in using Okta Verify on your phone

Okta Verify push works by sending an approval prompt to your device. You can tap to approve the login, after which you will be redirected to your MRI Vault account.

Link your existing Vault login to Agora

Use this flow if MRI Vault indicates your email is not yet registered in Agora/Okta. This process starts from the MRI Vault login screen.

  1. On the Vault MRI login page, select MRI Agora Gateway
  2. If prompted, select your office/branch from the drop-down list
  3. Review your name and mobile details (these usually come from MRI Vault user management)
  4. Enter the email address you want to register in Agora/Okta (this is typically the same email you use for MRI Vault)
  5. Select Continue to Next Step

If the system does not find an existing identity, it creates one and sends an activation email.

  1. Open the email titled “Complete your MRI activation”
  2. Select the activation link (for example, Activate MRI Account)
  3. Create your password

  4. Click Create My Account
  5. Return to the MRI Vault login page, where you set up your multifactor authentication app

Okta Verify can be configured to authenticate via push notifications (prompts sent to your phone).

Tip: It is recommended to use the Okta Verify app, as it doesn’t use codes like other authentication apps.
  1. Download the Okta Verify app from your device’s App Store
  2. Click Setup
  3. Select your device (iPhone or Android)
  4. Click Next
  5. Scan the QR code (with the Okta Verify app)
  6. Once the page confirms your multifactor authentication is configured, click Finish

Sign in to MRI Vault using Agora (Okta) as above.
