About the search tool
The Search tool in MRI Vault helps you quickly locate properties and contacts. It also provides a history of your recent searches and visited items, making navigation faster and more intuitive.
The search tool can be accessed on any page in MRI Vault and is located at the top-left of the screen.
Search for properties or contacts
To perform a search:
- Click the Search bar at the top of the screen or press the shortcut:
- Mac: Command + /
- Windows: Ctrl + /
- Type the property address, contact name, or keyword, for example, contact number
- MRI Vault automatically starts searching and displays the results
- If no matches are found, clear the search by:
- Clicking the X icon in the search bar, or
- Pressing Esc on your keyboard
View recent searches and items
The search tool automatically displays:
- Last 10 properties you accessed
- Last 10 contacts you accessed
To view these:
- Click inside the Search bar without typing
- Review the list of recent items, including:
- Property status (e.g., Sale, Lease, Prospect)
- Primary and secondary agents
Manage search history
You can manage your search history easily:
- To remove a single search term, click the X next to it
- To clear all search terms, click Clear
- Recently viewed properties and contacts cannot be cleared manually; they remain for quick access.
Additional details
- Search history is browser-specific. If you switch browsers, your previous search terms will not appear
- Property and contact history are saved in the database and remain consistent across sessions
- You can use the global search bar to search using the Life ID
