About the telemarketing notes report
The telemarketing notes report is a customisable reporting tool that helps users track and analyse telemarketing interactions. It allows filtering by date, note type, call status, categories, and staff involvement, providing a detailed view of outreach efforts and outcomes.
Access and generate the telemarketing notes report
Before you begin, ensure you have the necessary permissions to access reports in MRI Vault.
- Go to: Reports > Telemarketing Notes
- Choose your filters:

Insert Date - Date filters allow you to define the reporting period for your telemarketing notes
- Select the date range

Note type - Use this filter to include specific note types in your report
- Select your note type (e.g., Phone prospecting, telemarketing), or leave blank to include all note types

Include Categories - Categories help you narrow down results based on group classifications
- Select from available categories and groups, or leave blank for all

Call Status - Call status options allow you to track the outcome of telemarketing calls
- Select one or more statuses, or leave blank for all

Call Action - Call actions indicate the purpose or result of the call
- Choose from available options, or select Any for all

Filter by Initiator and Ownership - These filters help you refine results by staff member or ownership
- Use the Initiator drop-down to choose a staff member, or leave it blank for all.
- Use the Ownership drop-down to choose Marketing Contact #1 or Marketing Contact #2.
- Sort the Report - Sorting helps you organise the report by date.
- Select Date Ascending or Date Descending
- Click Search
Review the results and summary metrics
After applying your filters and generating the report, the results page displays two key sections: detailed results and a summary. This helps you review individual call details and overall performance metrics.
Detailed results table
The results table lists all telemarketing notes that match your selected criteria. Each row includes:
- Date - The date the note was created (e.g., 23/09/2025)
- Contact - The name of the contact (e.g., Chris Dawson)
- Call Status - The outcome of the call (e.g., Contact Achieved)
- Call Action - Actions taken during the call (e.g., Finance, Market Review Report, Appraisal - Sales)

Notes - A short description of the conversation or action (e.g., Spoke to Chris and still looking at selling towards the end of the year…)
- Buttons:
- View - Opens the full contact record.
- Notes - Displays detailed notes for the call
- Print Notes Report - This button allows you to generate a print-friendly version of the Telemarketing Notes Report
- Distribution List - This button helps you create or manage a distribution list based on the contacts in your report results
Summary section
The summary provides a quick breakdown of metrics based on your filtered results:
- Total - The total number of records returned (e.g., 2)
- Status Breakdown - Shows the count and percentage for each call status (e.g., Contact Achieved: 1 - 50%)

Action Breakdown - Displays the count and percentage for each call action (e.g., Appraisal - Sales: 1 - 33.33%)
