About unsubscribe types
Unsubscribe types allow account administrators to customise how contacts opt out of specific marketing communications. For example, you might have a Weekly Off-Market Alert and a Quarterly Market Update. By setting up unsubscribe types, you can give recipients the option to unsubscribe from one or both.
Add an unsubscribe type
To create a new unsubscribe type:
- Go to: Settings > Unsubscribe Types
- Click Add Unsubscribe Type (bottom right)
- Enter the Unsubscribe Type Name
Use a clear name that reflects the communication type, such as:
- Weekly Off-Market
- Market Update
- Buyer Match
- Property Alert
- Click Save
The new unsubscribe type will now appear on contact cards (under Other) and in email unsubscribe options.
Note: If your office uses ActivePipe, the ActivePipe unsubscribe option will appear, but cannot be edited.
How unsubscribe types work
- When a recipient clicks Unsubscribe in an email or text, they will see all available unsubscribe options created by your office
- On the contact card, you can manually tick the unsubscribe options for individual contacts
- When sending bulk marketing, unsubscribe types help you exclude contacts who opted out of specific campaigns

- Email templates are not linked to unsubscribe types. Clearly define unsubscribe options in your email content
- MRI Vault users are responsible for excluding unsubscribed contacts when sending bulk marketing
