Learn how to utilise the default date fields provided in the database, as well as how to add additional date fields.

Some examples of date fields that could be set up are:
- Anniversary
- Next Contact Date
Add a date field
- Go to: Settings > Date Fields
- Click Add New Date Field in the bottom right-hand corner
The Add/Edit Date Field screen will appear, allowing you to complete the details below:
- Name - This is the name of the date type that you would like to apply
- Format - You have two choices, DD/MM/YYYY or only DD/MM

Connected to a Property (check box) - If ticked, you can link the date to a property attached to the contact
- When done, click Save
The screen will refresh and display the added field in the list.
Edit date fields
You can edit date fields at any time.
- Go to: Settings > Date Fields
- Locate the date field > Click Edit
- Update the details
- Click Save
Delete date fields
You can delete date fields at any time.
- Go to: Settings > Date Fields
- Locate the date field > Click Edit
- Click Remove
Apply a date to a contact
To apply a date to a contact:
- Go to: A contact card
- Click on the Dates tab
The Dates/Pipeline/Anniversaries window will appear.
- Click Add
In the add/edit date box:
- Type - Select the type of date
- date - Enter the date
- Property - Link to a property if required (and this field was selected when the date field was added)

Assigned - Select a user
- Click Save
The Dates/Pipeline/Anniversaries window will refresh and display the added date in the list.
- Click Close
Apply a date to a property
If you set up and assign a date for a property address, it will be accessible from the Dates tab on the contact card and will also appear under the property.
- Go to: A property card
- Click the Other tab > Dates
The Dates/Pipeline/Anniversaries window will appear.
- Click Add
Including a date from within the property card enables you to select a contact linked to the property, as the system will already recognise the property in context.
In the add/edit date box:
- Type - Select the type of date
- date - Enter the date
- Contact - Link to a contact if required

Assigned - Select a user
- Click Save
The Dates/Pipeline/Anniversaries window will refresh and display the added date in the list.
- Click Close
Search for contacts with a particular date attached
Once you've assigned dates to your contacts, you can use the Filter Contacts tool to search for contacts by a specific date or date range.
