An important part of the system is managing agent commissions, especially at settlement payouts. It is important that all information is entered correctly to manage this process. In each User’s profile, we provide the ability to add individual commission structures.

Step by step
1. Go to Settings > User Management
2. Navigate into the desired user > click on the Commission Structure tab > Add Commission Structure
3. The Net Commission Structure window will appear below, where you can add the required details:
- Reporting on: - Select whether you would like the commission reporting to populate in the user's pay cycle based on when the property has been physically settled or on the settlement date applied. For New Zealand, you have the option to populate the commission based on the "Release Actioned", which is the date the "Release of Funds" button had been physically actioned, whereas the "Release Date" is the release date selected upon clicking on the "Release of Funds" button
For New Zealand, if the "Release of Funds" is not actioned after the property has been set as unconditional, the system will automatically place the commission into the relevant pay cycle report based on when the property has been settled.
- Pay Cycle Start: - This is the date of the user pay cycle
- Pay Period: - The length of the pay cycle, either Weekly, Fortnightly, Bi-Monthly (1st Month - 15th, then 16th - end of the month) or Monthly
- Pay Structure: - A drop-down menu is available here to select if the pay is a base pay only, a fixed percentage with or without a base salary or retainer, or if the pay is structured by a sliding scale with or without a base salary or retainer
- Base Salary: - Should the user have a base salary, this will populate on their pay cycle commission report
If the salary is base only, you are only required to enter the base salary amount and click on Save
4. Once you have completed the above, you will then have the below options if a Fixed % (with optional base or retainer) or Sliding Scale (with optional base or retainer) is selected
- If the salary is a fixed percentage - The fields change and you have the ability to enter the base salary and retainer if required and the percentage amount per property
- Similarly, if the pay is a sliding scale the fields will change again and provide you the ability to add the base salary, retainer if required and sliding scale details
5. Once the desired commission structure has been setup, you can then click on Save
6. This will then automatically apply the commission structure in the Agent Allocation, against the user when involved in the sale
