MRI Vault AML module supports regulatory compliance by allowing users to perform and manage AML checks. Learn how to configure system settings, conduct checks, and navigate related features.
This article covers:
Enable AML system restrictions
Before you begin using the AML module, you can apply system-level restrictions to control how AML checks are managed across your account.
- Go to: Settings > AML
- Under AML Settings, tick Show and apply system restrictions
- Select the AML settings you want to enforce
- Portals - (Recommended to be ticked) - A property cannot be advertised on portals unless all vendors or owners of that property have had an AML check performed.
- Property Status: (Recommended to be ticked) If a property is to go under offer or unconditional, all purchases must have an AML check performed.
- Click Save AML Settings to apply changes
Perform an AML check
Once the AML module is enabled, you can begin performing checks on contacts. The system automatically creates a new AML check when you open the AML tab for the first time.
- Go to: A contact profile
- Select the AML tab
A new AML check is automatically created.
- Use the following fields to manage the check:
- AML Check - Select from existing checks if multiple have been performed
- Status - Update the status as the check progresses
- Documents/Files - Upload supporting documents (max 50 MB per file). You can also view/download existing files
- Add Property - Link an existing MRI Vault property to the AML check
- Add Note - Add notes with automatic date/time stamps. These also log changes made within the AML module
- Click Close
Note: All updates are saved automatically in real-time. There's no need to manually save changes.
Important system behaviour
MRI Vault enforces specific rules to ensure AML compliance is maintained throughout your workflow.
- You cannot create a new AML check until the current one is either approved or rejected
- If system restrictions are applied, the system will display a required action box to prompt completion and approval of the AML check before proceeding
