Overview
Portal or feed errors in Vault are automatically generated when an issue prevents a property from publishing or updating on online portals. These errors are designed to be clear and actionable and should always be checked as the first step when a property is not appearing or updating as expected.
Where the error appears depends on the property’s listing status. Errors may display in the Portal Visibility section of the property record, the Activity tab, or the Portal Monitoring widget, so it’s important to review the correct location based on the current status.
Where to find portal or feed errors
Portal errors for listings and conditional records
For properties with a Listing or Conditional status, portal errors display in the Portal Visibility section of the property.
This section highlights any issues affecting the property’s ability to publish or update on portals.
Portal errors for unconditional or withdrawn properties can be located on the Activity Tab.
For properties with an Unconditional, Prospect, or Not Currently Listed status (for example, Withdrawn or Settled), portal errors display in the Activity tab.
These errors provide context around why the property is not publishing or updating while in these statuses.
Troubleshoot a property not appearing on portals
To troubleshoot when a property is not visible or not updating in online portals:
- Open the property record in Vault
- Check the property’s listing status
- Review the Portal Visibility section or the Activity tab, depending on the status
- Read the displayed portal error message carefully
- Resolve the issue where possible, or escalate if required
When to contact Support
Contact Support if:
- The error message is unclear or persists after checks are completed
- The issue cannot be resolved from the property record
- The property still does not appear or update despite no visible errors
Providing screenshots of the error message will help Support investigate more efficiently.
