One of the most important functions is to keep your database clean, hence why the system will always check for potential duplicates when a property is added to your database. However, should your database contain existing duplicate properties, we provide the option to manually check and merge these properties as per below.
Step by step
Properties can only be merged if they are of the same classification (e.g. residential, commercial) and if the current property status is either Appraisal or Prospect/Not Currently Listed. Current Listings cannot be merged until they have been settled or withdrawn.
1. Go to Properties > Duplicate Check
2. The system will then display all potential duplicate properties
3. To begin cleaning up these potential duplicates, click Resolve on the right-hand side
4. This will then populate a new screen where you are able to review the potential duplicates, including the option to view the property or activity log
5. Once you have reviewed all properties, you are then able to choose to Merge, Ignore or Delete the property(s)
6. Once you have selected your desired options, you may then click Merge Now
7. You can then view and open all merged properties (Within the last 30 days) via the Recently Merged tab
8. Alternatively, if you have chosen to ignore a duplicate, these will populate in the View Ignore List tab, where you are able to open or unignore
Properties ignored will be placed on the ignore list for a sliding period of 60 days. This can be modified to ignore duplicates indefinitely by going to Settings > Update Account Details > Tick the below.
