The Pay Cycle Commission report allows you to produce statements with a breakdown of the agent's total commission, including any expenses/agent expense invoices applied. This commission statement is produced based on the commission structure applied against the agent - More information on setting up commission structures can be found via the Commission (Net) - Set Up, Application & Agent Allocation knowledge article. Below is an outline of how to produce a commission report/statement.
Contents:
Step by step
1. Go into Financials > Commissions > Pay Cycle Period Tab
2. Select the desired date to populate all pay cycle period commission reports that apply
3. This will then populate all commission reports that apply to the desired date selected, where you can view the user, period (Based on their commission structure applied), Status, Qty of settled/Early released sales, and the Open Commission Report button to produce the statement
A deleted staff member will still appear in the relevant commission report if commission is still owing.
4. When the commission statement is produced, this will populate a breakdown of commission based on settled/released sales for the agent, including the option to apply an agent expense invoice(s), deductions and lock the current pay cycle period commission report
Transactions will appear in the commission reports based on the date the settlement button was clicked (rather than the settlement date defined by yourself - unless specified under Net Commission Structures), or once Early Release has been performed. Therefore, back-dated transactions will not be missed.
Additional Information
Agents/users will only appear in the commission pay cycle report if they have been set as a Salesperson or Principal as their Role type in their user management settings. More information on user management can be found in the User Management Settings knowledge article.
If the agent/user has been set up on a sliding scale commission structure and/or has a retainer, you will need to ensure that you Lock each commission report period for the total to flow into the next commission report period and calculate accordingly. If any changes are required to be made to the commission report, you can simply use the same button to Unlock.
Alternatively, we provide the option to bulk lock all commission reports by clicking Lock All Statements as shown below:
We provide the option to apply both agent expense invoice(s) and deductions within the selected agent/user's commission report. More information on allocating agent invoices can be found via the Agent Expenses knowledge article and for more information on setting up deductions, this can be found via the Setting up Deductions knowledge article.
For NZ clients, the pay cycle commission report can be exported into a CSV file for ipayroll or a generic format to import the data into the payroll system. More information on this function can be found in the Generating payroll CSV (ipayroll) knowledge article.
