Learn how to edit trust and general account details and complete security verification using SMS, Push Notification, or Support-assisted codes.
Edit trust account settings
For security purposes, any change to bank details requires a secondary verification check. Choose one of the two options below depending on your user list.
Note: Set up your sales trust, including creating trust and general accounts, configuring receipt settings, and enabling deposit notifications.
- Go to: Financials > Setup/Configuration
- Locate the account and click Edit
Option 1: Verify with SMS Code
Use this option if you have at least one verified user available to receive an SMS.
- In the security prompt, select a user from the dropdown list.
- The selected user will receive an auth code via SMS (usually within 60 seconds).
- Enter the code in the prompt to proceed.
Note: Users shown as Invalid – Recently modified cannot be selected; their phone/email was updated in User Management within the last 7 days.
Option 2: Verify with push notification
Use this option if your office has enabled push notifications for security verification.
- In the security prompt, select Push Notification as the verification method
- Choose the user who will receive the notification
- The user approves the request on their registered device
- Once approved, you can proceed with editing the account details
Option 3: Contact support for a verification code
Use this option if:
- There are fewer than two users available in the dropdown (e.g., a new account where all users were recently modified), or
- SMS and push notification options are unavailable
- Call 1300 788 689 (or +61 08 6800 7085 if overseas)
- Request a security verification code from the Support team
- Enter the code in the prompt to proceed
Tip: Always verify banking changes internally via your standard control process before saving.
